In the spirit of national solidarity and showing support of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, Progresif has taken the initiative to commence a donation campaign that aims to aid the country COVID-19 Relief Fund that was set up by His Majesty’s Government in light, of the second wave of COVID-19 cases last August. Hajah Nurul Haniah Binti Haji Jaafar, Progresif Chief Executive Officer, handed over BND38,420.00 to Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health at the Ministry of Health headquarters on 6 December 2021.
The funds were collected between 13 August and 21 November 2021 from Progresif SMS subscriber, Progresif and merchandise mask sales. Contributions to the COVID-19 Relief Fund will be used to assist the Government, in particular the Ministry of Health in buying essential items needed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
