On Friday, 23 May 2025, Progresif Sdn Bhd hosted the first prize presentation ceremony of its year-long Big Win campaign, where 27 lucky winners received the latest devices and cash prizes including a grand prize of BND $15,000. The campaign, which runs until 1 December 2025, and supports Brunei's national prepaid SIM re-registration initiative, has already seen over 35,000 entries since it's January launch. Excitement was high as names were drawn during a live Instagram session on 16 May, followed by the official ceremony held at the Progresif Mall Branch on 23 May.
In her opening remarks, Progresif CEO Hjh Nurul Haniah Haji Jaafar shared: “This campaign is about celebrating the people who make up the Progresif community. Whether you’ve just joined us or have been with us for years — thank you for believing in what we’re building. We’re just getting started.”
The prize ceremony followed a dynamic format, where for each prize category, a presenter was invited onstage to draw winners’ names from a box. The first five names drawn received Samsung Galaxy Tablets, followed by TCL TVs, Samsung A55 phones, MSI laptops, and iPhone 16. The most anticipated moment came with the announcement of the cash prize winners including three BND $2,500 prizes, two BND $5,000 prizes, and one BND $15,000 grand prize.
Among the highlights was the story of Wan Norhaizaizzati binti Mohamad Irwan, the grand prize winner, who walked away with BND $15,000. She shared: “I didn’t expect that I could win this lucky draw, but thank you Progresif! I gave half of it to my mother as a Happy Mother’s Day gift.”
Haji Jafrin bin Haji Mat Jahit, one of the BND $5,000 cash prize winners, said: “I was honestly surprised, didn’t expect it at all! Believe in doa, rezeki, and trust Progresif to make your dreams come true! I’m saving it to Tabung Haji, it makes a big difference in helping to prepare to perform Hajj/Umrah, InsyaAllah. It also came at the perfect time, as we’re planning a family holiday to Hong Kong during the June school break.”
Dayangku Qistina binti Pg Hassanan, who received a BND $2,500 cash prize, shared: “I was having dinner with my family when they told me I’d won and stood a chance to win $15,000. I’ll be using the prize to treat my family for a meal or maybe even a staycation. Double celebration!” Other winners included Muhammad Salihin bin Md Pauzi, an MSI laptop recipient, who recalled: “I was shocked when I got the phone call! I’ve been with Progresif since 2018, and I’ll definitely use the laptop to support my kids’ learning.”
The Big Win campaign continues with its second cycle in August and a final draw in December, offering more opportunities for customers to win.
