Frequently Asked Questions

eSIM is a digital SIM card that is embedded within a device, such as a smartphone or tablet. Unlike traditional physical SIM cards, eSIMs are not removable or replaceable and are directly integrated into the device’s hardware.

You can check by dialling *#06# on your phone. If your phone supports eSIM, your phone will display your eSIM unique identification number (EID).

You can also check through your phone settings:
Settings > About > Status Info. Your phone will display your eSIM unique identification number (EID).

All our Prepaid and Postpaid Mobile plans are available for eSIM.

Note: eSIM is only available for certain eSIM compatible mobile devices.

Switching to eSIM is free until 15 July 2024. After 15 July 2024, there will be a one-time charge of $10 to switch from a physical SIM to eSIM.

New Customer can opt for a free eSIM (or a physical SIM) upon successful registration

The fee for eSIM replacement is $5.

Note : For instance, in the case of a new phone, a different device, or a lost or stolen phone.

You will receive an email with QR Code for eSIM setup.

 

For iOS
Step 1: Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code
Step 2: Scan the QR code in your email
Step 3: Activate your eSIM
Step 4: Set up your eSIM default (For default line, choose as Primary Line)
Step 5: Your eSIM is all set up

 

For Android

Step 1: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM
Step 2: Select “Scan QR Code from service provider”
Step 3: Scan the QR Code from your email
Step 4: Activate your eSIM
Step 5: Set up your eSIM default (For default line, choose as Primary Line)
Step 6: Your eSIM is all set up

Additional notes:

  • Once activated, you may edit the name of your eSIM to customise it, for example: Progresif eSIM
  • For Default line, choose as Primary Line
  • For your Mobile Data, choose your Progresif eSIM and turn it on
  • Do not allow Mobile Data switching (optional)

No, it is simply switching from a physical SIM card to an eSIM – everything will remain the same and will not affect your current plan or mobile number.

If you accidentally delete the eSIM on your device, don’t worry. You can reinstall it using the same QR code that was sent to your email during the registration process. Simply follow the instructions in the email to set up your eSIM again.

No, you can only choose either a physical SIM card or eSIM as each SIM has its own profile containing information such as IMSI, PIN, PUK and ICCID.

Yes, you can switch between both SIMs and mobile numbers on your phone, however, this depends on your device capabilities.

You can store up to 7 eSIMs (depending on your phone model) on your phone but have only two active lines at one time – either one eSIM and one physical SIM card.

No, eSIMs are non-transferable. You will need to deactivate your current eSIM and reactivate it again on your new phone by request for a new eSIM replacement at any Progresif Store.

Please note that there will be a $5 reactivation fee for eSIM replacement.

Yes, you can use your eSIM to stay connected while travelling outside Brunei with roaming.

Yes, you can activate multiple eSIMs on your phone, including from other service providers.

eSIM adalah SIM kad digital yang berada dalam peranti seperti telefon bimbit atau tablet. eSIM tidak boleh ditanggalkan atau diganti seperti SIM kad fizikal dan disepadukan ke dalam perkakasan peranti.

Awda boleh menyemak dengan mendail *#06# pada telefon awda. Jika telefon awda menyokong eSIM, ia akan memaparkan ‘eSIM identification number’ (EID) awda.

Awda juga boleh menyemak melalui tetapan telefon awda:

Settings > About > Status Info. Telefon awda akan memaparkan ‘eSIM identification number’ (EID) awda.

Semua pelan-pelan Mobile Prepaid dan Postpaid tersedia untuk  Progresif eSIM.

  • Jangan benarkan penukaran Mobile Data

Tidak, awda hanya perlu menukar dari kad SIM fizikal kepada eSIM – yang lain akan tetap sama dan ia tidak akan mengganggu pelan awda atau nombor telefon.

Jika awda telah memadamkan eSIM secara tidak sengaja, awda boleh memasang balik dengan mengimbas kod QR yang dihantar ke emel awda semasa pendaftaran. Awda hanya perlu mengikut balik langkah untuk mengaktifkan eSIM awda.

Tidak, awda hanya boleh memilih diantara kad SIM fizikal atau eSIM kerana setiap SIM mempunyai profil masing-masing termasuk maklumat seperti IMSI, PIN, PUK dan ICCID.

Ya, awda boleh bertukar antara kedua-dua SIM dan talian pada telefon awda, namun, ini bergantung pada keupayaan peranti awda.

Awda boleh menyimpan sehingga 7 eSIM (bergantung pada model telefon awda) pada telefon awda tetapi hanya mempunyai dua talian aktif pada satu masa iaitu satu eSIM dan satu kad SIM fizikal
