Dynamik Technologies and Progresif held a virtual donation handover yesterday morning for their donation drive campaign called “Goals for Education”

A total of 48 tablets were presented to the Ministry of Education to be distributed to students in need of devices to facilitate online learning since online school was put into effect earlier this month. The donation amounting to $36,906 was a collective contribution from members of the public and 13 corporate sponsors since July 2020.

In attendance during the virtual handover ceremony were senior officials from the Ministry of Education, management, and representatives from Dynamik Technologies and Progresif:

• Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education)
• Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary (Core Education)
• Dr. Chin Wei Keh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education)
• Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education)
• Haslina Hj Md Taib, Chief Executive Officer of Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd
• Hjh Nurul Haniah binti Hj Md Jaafar, Chief Executive Officer of Progresif Sdn Bhd

The Goals for Education donation drive is a collaboration between Dynamik Technologies and Progresif which was officially launched last year after schools were affected by the closures due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The campaign is part of the companies’ whole of nation approach which aims to support online learning initiatives and students in need of ICT devices nationwide.

The campaign first kicked off with the 555 and 1Co Challenges, both of which were social media challenges which encouraged members of the public and companies, respectively, to record themselves scoring 5 goals, tagging 5 peers, and donating via BIBD Online or Progresif Pay in order to raise awareness and funds for the campaign.

In the welcoming remarks by Haslina Taib, Chief Executive Officer of Dynamik Technologies, she stated, At Dynamik Technologies, we believe in empowering our youth through technology as they are the nation’s future. We hope all of us as a community can continue to support creating equal access to digital tools and help those who are facing challenges in online learning. Even once we have moved past the COVID-19 pandemic, these students will have continued access to the world, digitally.”

“Following the resurgence of active COVID-19 cases in Brunei, we must now work together to support this initiative. No matter how big or little the contribution is, it will go a long way to ensure the nation’s youth are able to broaden their education.” said Hajah Nurul Haniah, CEO of Progresif Goals for Education will continue to actively raise funds for more ICT devices. With the second wave of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam, there are still more students in need who require access to ICT devices to carry out online learning.

Dynamik and Progresif encourage everyone to support ‘Goals For Education’ to enable the outreach of education for our students nationwide. More information can be found on their designated Instagram account @goalsforeducationbn where the latest progress and amount of donation raised will be shared.
